Sweet Honey Garlic Drumsticks
This sauce may be the best thing you've ever tasted! We suggest doubling the sauce recipe so you have plenty leftover for your rice and veggies.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds chicken drumsticks
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1/2 c. Firebee Raw Honey
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. chicken broth
- 1 small onion, diced
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy clean up and place a wire rack on top.
Step 2
In a small saucepan, add oil. Over medium heat, stir in garlic and onions and cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 3
Add Firebee Raw Honey and soy sauce. Stir together the broth and cornstarch. Pour into the pan and bring to a boil. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes and remove from heat.
Step 4
Pat chicken dry and place onto the wire rack. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Step 5
Place chicken in the oven and cook for 10 minutes. Flip chicken and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Coat chicken with sauce and cook for 5 minutes. Flip one more time and coat the other side of the chicken. Cook for 5-10 minutes more, basting as needed until the chicken reaches 180-190 degrees F. and juices run clean.
Step 6
Serve chicken with rice and extra sauce.
